For the past eight years, EMMS has been Baltimore’s Premiere Comedy Improv Troupe. This past September, we entered our final season entertaining the fun people of Maryland.
Our run has been long and trendsetting. We’ve been able to do some insane things on stage and not be arrested (yet). We’ve worked with great standup comics like Mike Aronin, Jared Stern and Mike Storck. Traded hugs with improv siblings like the Screaming Puppets, MobTV and Hey Hon. We helped launch local groups like BIG and look forward to Baltimore’s newest addition, Drop Three.
Of course our favorite deed was creating and bringing the annual Baltimore Comedy Fest to hundreds of fans and supporters. We will continue to serve as the BCF producer in the future.
EMMS could not have survived and thrived without the help of some amazing people. Theatre icons Bob Russell, Ryan Whinnem, Noel Shively, Brian Dragonuk and Bart Wirth. Filmmakers John Kinhart and Steve Franz. Radio personalities Mark Ondayko, Jerry Gietka and the wild crew at 98 Rock. But most of all, no artist lasts long without people in the seats. And our EMMS fans have given us close to a decade of unconditional support. It’s you we will miss most of all.
Whether you’ve seen us once or a hundred times, we hope you’ll come party one more time at the place that will always be our home, the Mobtown Theater. There’s still quite a few surprises left up our sleeves as we get ready to say goodbye with our Grande Finale.
